The Caribbean was mostly touristy and pricey.  Every once and awhile we’d come across some truly breathtaking beaches and secluded anchorages. We arrived in the BVI’s to kick off our Caribbean jaunt in the middle of November 1996 and made it down to Grenada in the middle of January 1997.
